After graduating from Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Lausanne, Louis started his career with Nestlé USA. He then moved to Wall Street with Prudential-Bache before returning to Switzerland, where he became General Manager of Gutzwiller SA, the Geneva subsidiary of the Basel Private Bank. At this point, a significant coincidence led him to spend time with some very early adopters of the alternative investment model. Attracted by the pertinence of the absolute return framework and its innovative investment techniques, Louis became an adept practitioner in the field and brought his expertise to Banque Heritage, making it one of the pioneers in the use of alternative products. The impact of this approach has been significant and today the experience and technology of his alternative investment department makes a fundamental contribution to the distinctive and successful investment approach of the bank.
